Watrfall Opens Submissions for $275,000 Creator Fund With Audience Votes

Watrfall, a platform co-founded by actor Ron Perlman, has opened submissions for its first creator fund.

Filmmakers and showrunners can pitch original film and television ideas until November 15.

The fund totals $275,000: $150,000 for one feature film, $75,000 for a TV pilot and $5,000 each for 10 projects in development.

Watrfall executives will review submissions and respond to applicants within six weeks.

Eligible projects will then go to the Watrfall community for a vote, and the top selections will receive funding.

The platform says it aims to help creators keep significant ownership of their work and creative control, while sharing some ownership and revenue with Watrfall and its community.

Its free-to-join community is expected to launch soon, giving audiences a role in choosing projects.
