Naver pitches integrated advertising strategy to K-pop agencies

Naver presented an advertising strategy for entertainment companies at an event in Seongnam, South Korea, on Oct.

22.

Representatives from SM, JYP and YG attended alongside the company’s official partner, Glink Media.

Naver wants to reach people in their teens and twenties, a key group among K-pop fans, through services including Naver Map, Chzzk, Webtoon and Kream.

Its plan connects those online platforms with AI-powered outdoor ads through a service called Adboost Screen.

The service can place targeted ads on 359,000 digital displays at cinemas, on public transport and on billboards across 17 cities and provinces.

Naver has already used the approach for IVE and Rescene comebacks this year, linking the outdoor ads with its mobile services.

The company says it will strengthen support for the entertainment industry, though it did not announce specific future campaigns.
