New Hampshire investigators renew appeal in 1982 Tammy Little murder case

New Hampshire investigators renew appeal in 1982 Tammy Little murder case

New Hampshire investigators have released a photo of Tammy Little to renew an appeal in her unsolved murder.

Little was 20 and studying at Portsmouth Beauty School when she was last seen in the early hours of October 16, 1982.

Her body was found three days later in her Portsmouth apartment, and investigators ruled her death a homicide after finding she had severe head injuries.

The case has remained unsolved for more than 40 years.

Police hope the photo will prompt someone to share a remembered detail, especially people who knew Little or were in the area at the time.

The New Hampshire Cold Case Unit and Portsmouth police are still investigating, and are seeking information from former classmates, neighbors and others who may have seen or spoken with her.
