Igor Yebra shares his life with multiple sclerosis in new autobiography

Dancer Igor Yebra has published an autobiography about his career and life with multiple sclerosis.

He is from Bilbao and trained with Víctor Ullate before building an international career as a leading dancer.

A persistent ringing in his ear led to scans in 2015, which found brain lesions and led to his diagnosis.

The disease affected his movement, and he gradually withdrew from dance before his final performance in 2017 in Bilbao.

Multiple sclerosis ended the career he had built over three decades, forcing him to adjust to changes in his body and daily life.

In the book, he describes learning to live with the condition while rejecting the idea that he has simply accepted it.

He hopes the memoir can help people facing emotional setbacks, and says he remains open to artistic projects that interest him.
