Man admits killing business partner in Babenhausen, denies murder intent
A 37-year-old man admitted stabbing his 27-year-old business partner in Babenhausen, Germany.
The attack happened on February 12 in a car park at a car dealership, and the younger man died in hospital the next day.
Prosecutors say the defendant stabbed him six times and had armed himself with knives before the drive.
The defendant denies deciding to kill, saying he panicked during a struggle after becoming afraid.
He said the men had worked together arranging property loans for commission and had faced financial problems after repayments were demanded.
The prosecution has charged him with murder, so the court must consider whether the killing was intentional and how it should be classified.
The trial is due to continue on Thursday, with five hearing days scheduled initially through December 18.
