Bearman’s Haas seat for 2027 remains unconfirmed

Bearman’s Haas seat for 2027 remains unconfirmed

Ollie Bearman wants to stay with Haas in 2027, but the team has not confirmed his place.

The 21-year-old British driver says he is waiting for several details to be finalised.

His future is ultimately decided by Ferrari, because he is contracted to the Italian team.

Haas has already signed fellow Ferrari junior Rafael Camara for 2027, and team boss Ayao Komatsu previously said Bearman’s news was expected soon.

There is no suggestion Bearman will race for another team next season, despite the delay in confirming his Haas extension.

Bearman and Camara are seen as contenders for a future Ferrari seat, but Lewis Hamilton is set to race for Ferrari in 2027 and Charles Leclerc has a multi-year deal.

A Ferrari opening is unlikely before 2028, so 2027 could be important for both young drivers.
