Unity Metals expands gold exploration across Cambodian projects
Australian company Unity Metals is expanding its gold exploration in Cambodia, at its O’Phlay and Ngot projects.
At O’Phlay’s Camp prospect, drilling found 40 metres grading 1.9 grams of gold per tonne and another 70.4 metres grading 1.1 grams per tonne.
The Camp mineralised zone remains open along strike and at depth, meaning its full extent is not yet known.
Geological work identified more than six kilometres of magnetic features that may help locate similar mineralised areas, but these are targets, not confirmed gold discoveries.
A 3,000-metre drilling campaign is underway to assess Camp and test other prospects, including Toulsroloav and Small Creek.
At Ngot, about 60 kilometres west of O’Phlay, surveys identified an untested underground anomaly and further priority targets around it.
Drilling results will show whether these targets contain gold mineralisation comparable to Camp.
Unity Metals has started a 3,000m diamond drilling campaign to expand gold exploration across its Cambodian projects.
At the Camp prospect in O’Phlay, drilling returned 40m at 1.9g/t gold and 70.4m at 1.1g/t gold.
The Camp mineralised zone is open along strike and at depth, and has an interpreted true width of 45–50m.
More than 6km of prospective magnetic trends have generated multiple targets across O’Phlay.
At Ngot, geophysical work has identified further priority targets near a possible mineralising intrusion.
