Shrek 2 game remaster revealed in removed Xbox Store listing

A removed Xbox Store listing revealed a remaster of the 2004 Shrek 2 game on Friday.

The game lets players control Shrek, Fiona and Donkey in a co-op adventure, and the remaster is being brought to market by Aspyr Media.

It is set to add sharper textures, an updated interface and 4K resolution, along with Photo Mode and Cheat Mode.

Players will be able to play alone or with up to three friends, either locally or online.

The original game is fondly remembered by fans, and its return taps into nostalgia for a movie tie-in game from 2004.

The listing gave no release date or price, and it was removed after appearing.

The game is expected to come to PlayStation too, but that has not been confirmed in the information available.
