San Zaccaria water recalled over possible bacterial contamination

San Zaccaria water recalled over possible bacterial contamination

Italy’s Health Ministry flagged a San Zaccaria water batch because it may contain Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

The recall covers one-litre bottles with batch number L26239221100 and a best-before date of 27 August 2028, made by Fonti Terme di Brennero.

Do not drink water from the affected batch; take it back to the shop where you bought it.

The shop should offer a replacement or refund and can answer questions.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic bacterium that usually poses less risk to healthy people.

It can cause serious infections, especially in people with weakened immune systems or damaged skin and mucous membranes.

Check the batch and date on your bottle and return it if they match the recall details.
