Tristán Suárez seeks a first place in Argentina’s top division

Tristán Suárez will face Godoy Cruz on November 15 in a final for a place in Argentina’s top division.

The club from Ezeiza is one of three teams to reach at least the second division without being relegated, alongside Boca and Agropecuario.

Since joining the AFA in 1963, Tristán Suárez has climbed through the divisions, reaching the Primera Nacional in 2021.

It has never been relegated, though its record came close to being tested in 2023 when it faced a possible relegation playoff.

The AFA canceled relegations in that division before the playoff took place, so the club stayed in the Primera Nacional.

A win would send Tristán Suárez to the top division for the first time, where it would try to keep its no-relegation record intact.
