S-TechM and Chinese state-owned group agree to explore South Korean solar projects

South Korean company S-TechM signed a solar cooperation agreement with China’s state-owned Century Xincheng Group.

The agreement was signed at S-TechM’s headquarters in Hwaseong, South Korea, on October 27.

The companies plan to look for solar power projects in South Korea and share industry information and business resources.

S-TechM makes automation equipment for battery production and is now expanding into renewable energy.

The agreement supports its plan to build a new business in solar power as renewable energy use grows in South Korea.

The two sides will assess market conditions and whether individual projects are viable.

Investment amounts and project terms remain undecided and will be discussed separately.
