Royals Outright Five Pitchers to Triple-A Omaha

The Kansas City Royals sent five right-handed pitchers to Triple-A Omaha after the players went unclaimed on waivers.

The pitchers are Alex Lange, Mason Black, Connor Seabold, Alec Marsh and Easton McGee.

Seabold and McGee have elected free agency, while Lange and Marsh are also eligible to leave.

The moves come as teams prepare for the offseason, when injured-list players may need roster spots and eligible players can be protected from the Rule 5 draft.

Lange had a 6.75 ERA in 60 innings this season, while Marsh missed 2026 as he continued recovering from shoulder surgery.

Black is the only one not eligible to elect free agency because this was his first outright assignment, and the Royals may need to make more roster decisions in the coming weeks.
