Gonçalo Ramos says frustration at PSG drove his move to AC Milan

Gonçalo Ramos left Paris Saint-Germain for AC Milan this summer after struggling to get regular starts.

The Portugal striker said he had wanted to leave PSG as early as January, but the club refused because it needed to find a replacement.

Ramos said he scored in several matches without starting, and turned his frustration into motivation rather than publicly complaining.

He spent three years at PSG after joining from Benfica in 2023, scoring 45 goals and making 10 assists in 131 appearances.

Ruben Amorim’s call helped persuade Ramos to join Milan, where he has become a regular starter.

The reported transfer fee differs between accounts: one gives €74 million, while another estimates about €80 million.

Ramos has said leaving PSG was emotionally difficult, but the move gives him the chance to play more regularly.
