OJK Welcomes Proposal for Indonesia to Set Its Own Market Rating
Deputy Parliament Speaker Sufmi Dasco Ahmad proposed that Indonesia set its own stock-market rating as the market faces possible reclassification by global index provider MSCI.
Financial regulator OJK welcomed the support and said it would coordinate further on the proposal.

MSCI is consulting with market participants before making its decision.
A final decision is due by June 30, 2027.
