Trade-deadline proposals link Taylor to Vikings and Barkley to Bengals

With the NFL trade deadline two weeks away, analysts proposed moves for teams hoping to strengthen their rosters.

The Minnesota Vikings, then 6-0, were suggested as a fit for running back Jonathan Taylor to improve an offense that had scored only 10 touchdowns.

Taylor had gained 110 yards from scrimmage and scored a touchdown against Minnesota in its 16-10 win over Indianapolis.

The Cincinnati Bengals were also named as a possible destination for running back Saquon Barkley, as their offense averaged 3.6 yards per carry.

These were suggested trades, not completed deals, and teams’ plans could shift as their results changed.

The deadline was approaching, but the analysis did not say whether either team would make a move.
